Who I am

The STEM Hut is a tutoring and educational activities business run by Katy Bristowe. Contact: katy@thestemhut.co.uk

• parent/carer name and contact details
• child’s name, age/year group and information relevant to their learning
• information about learning needs, SEND or other relevant circumstances where you choose to provide it
• information relating to tutoring sessions or clubs, progress and communication.
• payment and invoice information

Why I use your information

I use this information to:

• arrange and provide tutoring
• understand and support your child’s learning
• communicate with you about sessions
• manage bookings, payments and business records
• meet safeguarding and legal obligations

Who I share information with

I don’t sell your information or share it for unrelated purposes. I may use trusted service providers to operate The STEM Hut, such as my website/email provider, online teaching platform (such as zoom) and secure storage/payment services. Where these providers process personal data on my behalf, they are expected to handle it appropriately.

How I store your information

I take reasonable steps to keep personal information secure and only retain it for as long as necessary for the purposes described above or to meet legal/business record-keeping requirements.

Your rights

You have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to ask what information I hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information and, in certain circumstances, request deletion or object to its use.

Children’s information

Information about children is collected only where relevant to providing tutoring, safeguarding and managing the service. I ask parents/carers to provide information they consider relevant to their child’s support.
